Neues Palais is located in Potsdam a short journey by metro from Berlin in the southwest of the city. This was the last palace that Frederick the Great built in the park grounds. The palace was built between 1763 and 1769 after the end of the Seven Years War. It is considered to be the last great Prussian baroque palace.

This palace is one of Germany’s most striking, within its grand sumptuous palace contains more than 200 lavishly decorated rooms spread over two storeys. The central ball room is topped by a large dome.

You can take a guided tour through Neues Palais which shows you the most artistic rooms of the palaces. The Marble Hall, also called the Banquet Hall, an extravaganza of white Carrara marble topped by a ceiling fresco of great beauty. The festive halls, royal apartments, and the palace theater are equally magnificent and beautiful.
