There are of course a number of ways you can get to the German capital. The most popular is by plane, and the city actually has three different airport terminals spread over the city, Schoenefeld, Tegel and Tempelho. Transport links from these terminals are excellent in keeping with the Berlin set up, each airport offers a shuttle service and efficient rail connections into the centre of town and other outreaches.

If you are travelling by train you may well be arriving into Berlin’s impressive central station, the Hauptbahnhof. It’s a fine testament to Berlin’s modern architecture and has links running all over the city and beyond, as do the other main stations of Südkreuz and Ostbahnhof. If you fancy sailing over them you can pick up a ferry service to Germany and you’ll be able to get a direct service to the nation’s capital no problem.

If you’re bussing your way to Berlin then all the main long distance bus routes come into Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof, which is the city’s main bus terminal in the centre of town.
